In an increasingly user friendly world with more and more smart objects surrounding us comes a collection of jewellery that is not accommodating in making our lives more efficient or our tastes more restrained. Ornament is not a crime, it is a delight! It doesn’t make things obsolete or nonmodern but rather alive and dashing.
Hence the name of this somewhat showy collection – Flamboyant.
Taking its cue from architecture, the collection was inspired by the elaborated late Gothic style from 15th century called flamboyant. Because of its over-the-top dramatic and lavish decorative features like the flame-shaped curves the critics for a long time didn’t give it the recognition it deserved. In the contemporary climate where even jewellery – the most exuberant piece of human accessories – has been submitted to modesty, the Flamboyant by OfR is a daring preposition to live more extravagantly, to stand out, to take pleasure in workmanship.
